EHS & SECURITY SUPERVISOR

Job details, tasks

Supports and continues to develop competency in all aspects of EHS (occupational health and safety, process safety and environmental protection)
Provides technical and administrative support to EHS and manufacturing operations to ensure compliance to local regulations and corporate standards
Coordinates internal and external EHS, fire safety audits, inspections and drills
Develops training materials and conducts EHS training for new employees
Consults with external agencies and officials to ensure site compliance to requirements
Maintains and develops EHS metrics and communicates to upper management
Participates in field walk-downs for safety reviews and follow-ups
Implements proactive inspection, analysis and root cause identification on safety matters and follows up on actions
Maintains physical and electrical security inside and outside site buildings including entry system and is responsible for all security matters
Monitors video tapes from surveillance cameras when necessary
Provides advice, assistance and interpretation to management in all relevant areas of safety, risk assessment, environment and related legislation

Requirements

University or college degree in safety engineering
Several years of safety, health and environmental experience in manufacturing
Applicable knowledge of safety and facility operations, systems and standards
Technical competence in equipment maintenance, engineering and plant operations
Able to lead and influence cross-functional teams
Strategic thinker with good decision-making and problem-solving skills
Excellent communicator who is able to influence at all levels of the organization
Good computer skills, attention to detail and analytical ability
Good working knowledge of English
